It took a couple of weeks to clean the empty auditorium, to paint the cement and to install the new sound system and lights. But then ...

It was time to give the go-ahead for the new seats! - - 670 of
them!

First, the struts are anchored into place.

And then it's time to open the boxes containing the seats.
The guys worked in shifts and within hours, the space was transformed.

First the seat backs were placed in position by one crew. Meanwhile
...

the boxes continued to be put in position.

Here are two guys who are enjoying their role as bystanders!

That map shows where everything must go!

The backs are fitted into place.

Then the screws are tightened.

Mr. Leverette checks the carpet sample against the chair colour.
Notice the strip holding the carpet? The edge is flourescent
so it will reflect back enough light so people can see the stair
edges. Classy!

Just installed is this "sound" booth at the back for
commentators!
