The workers started very early because measuring in the hallway
worked well without the students around!
Premeasured sections were then positioned in the auditorium.
Final measurements were taken before the glue pots were uncapped.
Each piece for every stair had to be measured exactly...
and then glued into place.
The glue was very fast-drying and spreading it had to be done
quickly.
Even then, there were lots of sticky fingers!
Next, the flourescent strip was fitted over each stair.
The carpet was fitted tightly under each strip ....
And checked from above ... and below!
There was enough carpeting for the floor of the sound booth!
