Fire!
These photos were taken with the school's digital
camera!

A firefighter heads into the school.

The police blocked off Atwater Avenue.

This random trucker was trapped between emergency vehicles.

Cawthra students stayed on the south side of the street for safety.

The hydrant was put to use.

Water and smoke mingled as the flames died out.

The students waited patiently. We were all glad that it was such
a pleasant day to be outdoors.

The school was "locked down" as flames continued to
be extinguished.

Fred, my favourite photographer from the Mississauga News, got
some interesting shots.

Well, at least someone can take pictures of the students!!
Watch for your pictures in this
Wednesday's paper and on the internet version of the Mississauga
News.

The fire got the full treatment.

Mr. Leverette takes over the cruiser P.A. system to make an announcement.
What's that? ... the staff meeting is cancelled? :-)

Firefighters continue their work after students and staff are
dismissed
without getting back into the school.
Mr. Leverette will post developments on the main school page
as they occur.
The plan now is to go to your Period 5 (Day 1) class when we get
back into the school in order to pick up your belongings. Surf
to www.cawthrapark.com
before heading for school tomorrow.
Thanks to the Mississauga Transit System for letting me ride
for free when the driver learned my wallet was in the locked-down
school.
