A Firefighter visits Ms. Fitzpatrick's classroom

Firefighter Steve came to talk to the Grade 11 students about fighting fires ... gases, smoke, heatl, light.

 
Before long, the students decided that Ms. Fitz would be dressed up in the protective gear.

The oxygen mask is part of the uniform.

The uniform is heavy and hot ... but very protective.

The personal stories were fascinating.

The class ended with a 4 minute video which really showed that firefighters are heroes in our midst.

Quite simply ... they don't give up!
