Library Renovations
June,
July [Page

Yes, it's true. We're
getting rid of the old carpet and shelves.

Take a last fond look at the way we were!

This security gate will stay the same. Whew!

But everything you see here will be gone.

Here too ... although the new computers will not arrive until
October, 2005.
The last half of June saw the library totally emptied of everything.

The videos and DVDs were all moved to the end wall and covered
with plastic.

The spinners were taped against dust. The ugly green bookshelves
(left) were painted almond.

The computer cables and electrics were changed to allow for an
"island" and a new aisle.

The plants were isolated for easy watering during the summer.

The new carpet tiles arrive.

Next, come the new ceiling tiles.

Ms. Sahu finishes the overdue list in spite of what you see. (She
will find you!)

The ceiling tiles are ready to be installed. Here we go!!!

The existing tiles are original with the school. These new ones
will make the place much brighter.

This is a view of Room 202, which stores a great deal of the library
resources for the summer.

Here's another view of Room 202.

And another.

The rest of the furniture was stored in room 216. Too bad for
Summer School!

The carpet tiles were stored in Room 216 until school ended.

Check the opened box. Great colour choice, eh?

The workers are ready to tear up the old carpet and install the
new.

Note the newly painted shelves getting fanned. Those were the
ugly green ones in another life.
Take a last look at the orange carpet. It is about to be ripped up.
