DEAR =
Drop Everything and Read
For the first 15 minutes of Period B each day, everyone in the school will read.
So bring along the book you happen to be reading and enjoy! Looking for
a book? .. then start your day with an early visit (7:45 to 8:25) to the library
to sign out a book or pick up an extra newspaper or magazine there. If you forget
to bring reading material, your period B teacher will probably have a textbook
you can read. That should serve as a reminder the rest of the week.
Book
Swap + Sale - Beginning immediately, bring any book
you're finished with to the library. In exchange for each book, get a "book
swap" tag. Beginning Mon. Oct. 29, we'll have "Book Swap"
tables in front of the library. Use your tags to get books!
Chapters'
Fundraiser at the Queensway location across the street from Sherway
Gardens: On Tues. Oct. 30th from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. All profits raised
will be used to support literacy at Cawthra Park S.S.
"Teachers'
Picks" and "Students' Picks" will be displayed at
the Chapters' Fundraiser. Parents, staff and students are invited to purchase
a book from one of the tables to donate to the school library. Book plates will
be provided so that future Cawthra readers will know who bought the book to
the school library. To suggest a title, please complete either a Teacher Pick
form or a Student Pick form, available at the Cawthra library circulation desk.
Assignments

the results of student work will be! Photos will be taken and posted.
