General Info
In grade nine, all students are tested on the expectations in The
Ontario Curriculum for grade 9 : applied or academic Mathematics.
The assessment provides multiple opportunities for students to show
what they know and what they can do. The assessment has two components:
multiple-choice and open-response. The assessment is similar to
work done in class.
In the test, students will be asked to demonstrate
skills and applications in the following strands: Number Sense and
Algebra, Linear Relations, Analytic Geometry (academic only), and
Measurement and Geometry.
The purpose of this site is to provide information
on preparing for the grade 9 Numeracy Test. More information about
the test can be found at the Education Quality and Accountability
Office (EQAO) site.
